Letter to an Inspirational Artist

          Dear Heather Perry,
Hi Heather, my name is Autumn Lewis. I am a senior in high school in New Hampshire. I am in a photography class where I am learning a lot. I love photography, especially nature, landscape and wildlife photos. It is something I love to do but don't know if I should make a career out of it. For this project I had to contact a photographer who's work I enjoy. I found you on National Geographic's Talent website which is awesome because nat geo is a huge inspiration for me. I really enjoy your landscape photos and photos of water. I think the way you capture color and light is great. I would love to learn more about your process and techniques. I was asked to invite you to one of my classes, it would be amazing if you could come to ConVal High school in Peterborough, NH to speak and share at some point between now and the beginning of June 2016 if you have the time.

I have some questions for you and would love to hear back from you.
-How did you start doing photography professionally?
-Do you make a living off of photography?
-How does this occupation fit in with having a family?
-How did you get involved and recognized by National Geographic?
-Do you travel a lot for your job and how are your travels funded? (I love to travel and was able to go    to the Galapagos Islands this summer and took some cool pictures, I want to travel more.)
-How do you get jobs and assignments for magazines, etc.?
-What type of camera do you use? (for portraits and in water)
-Is a life of photography fulfilling and everything you thought it would be?

Thank you so much for responding, it means so much. It would be great to hear some answers to these questions back to the address below. Especially because they are big things I am thinking about currently while looking at colleges, careers and contemplating life after high school.

                                                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                                 Autumn Lewis
